What’s your wedding photography style?
With a background in journalism, I approach weddings with a documentary approach to anticipating and capturing moments that tell the story of your day, as well as creating portraits that will stand the test of time. I’m a fly on the wall when I need to be, but can easily switch gears to direct moments and corral those large family groups.
Where are you based?
As a Santa Clarita wedding photographer, I work throughout the Los Angeles and Southern California region, but am also available to travel domestically and internationally.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes, and I highly recommend it as a way for us to get to know each other better, as well an opportunity for you to get more comfortable in front of the camera. I’m a big fan of picking a location that is unique to you as a couple, whether that’s spending time in a beautiful outdoor setting or hitting the city for a date night vibe. My Platinum wedding package includes a complimentary engagement session, but it is also available as an add-on to other packages.
we’re eloping and don’t need a full-day package. can you help?
You bet! I believe in meeting you where you’re at. Base elopement packages start at $1,000.
Do you bring a second photographer?
Both my Gold and Platinum wedding packages include a second photographer, which helps provide broader and more detailed coverage.
do you outsource your editing?
Absolutely not. I believe in a hands-on approach to your photos, which means I’m responsible for culling, editing, and delivering your images, to ensure consistency with my approach to documenting your wedding.
do you use ai to edit our photos?
The short answer is NO. While I do at times utilize ai-assisted features in my editing suite such as blemish removal, noise reduction, sharpening, etc., I do not use ai tools for culling and editing your collection of photos, as I believe in being responsible for ensuring no moments captured are overlooked and that the edits are consistent with my vision and style. When you receive your photo gallery, know that an actual human Josh has been directly involved every step of the way.
How do you deliver our photos?
High-resolution, edited photos are delivered within 4 weeks in an online gallery that allows downloads and is easy to share with family and friends. Additionally, print purchase is available directly through your gallery. Galleries remain online for a year before being moved to offline storage.
How many photos do you deliver?
For a typical 8-hour wedding you can expect roughly 500-600 photos delivered.
Do you shoot film?
One roll of 35mm film is included with my Platinum wedding package and available as an add-on for other packages.
Can you recommend other vendors?
Yes! I can provide referrals for other great vendors including planning/coordination, hair and makeup, DJ/MC services, floral, catering, and more.
How do we reserve a date?
After an initial consultation, I can provide a draft contract. Upon signing and a 30% non-refundable retainer, your date and photo coverage is locked in! CLICK HERE to set up a consultation. Final payment is due within 2 weeks of your wedding date, and payment plans are available.
